Accurate reimbursement with TREND Health Partners

To support our commitment to improving payment accuracy and reducing administrative burden, Geisinger Health Plan is expanding its collaboration with TREND Health Partners to include Diagnosis Related Group (DRG) verification.

TREND, a trusted independent partner to both payers and providers, will now assist in auditing DRG elements to ensure claims are coded and reimbursed correctly. This builds on their current work resolving credit balances and recovering overpayments for our network providers.

As part of this expanded review, TREND may request:

• Access to medical records
• Current credit balance reports
• Documentation such as EOBs and claims
• Review of relevant financial transactions in your patient accounting system

Trend conducts these reviews on behalf of Geisinger Health Plan. We ask you extend them your professional courtesy.
