New Cohere sleep management program aims to improve quality and reduce member cost
Effective Feb. 16, 2026, Geisinger Health Plan (GHP) will implement the Cohere Sleep Management Program to manage prior authorization for sleep study services. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to improving care quality, streamlining administrative processes, and ensuring appropriate utilization of services.
As part of this program:
- Facility-based sleep studies will require prior authorization through Cohere Health as of Feb. 16.
- At-home sleep studies will not require prior authorization.
Cohere Health’s platform leverages advanced clinical intelligence and automation to support efficient, evidence-based decision-making. Their delegated sleep management solution helps ensure members receive the right test in the right setting, with a pathway to appropriate treatment when needed. Providers benefit from a streamlined electronic intake portal, high approval rates, and transparent reporting tools.
To submit prior authorization requests for facility-based sleep studies, use the Cohere Health provider portal. Training resources and support are available to assist with onboarding and portal navigation.
