GHP Family drug billing reminder

This notice serves as a reminder to all GHP Family providers regarding correct billing procedures when submitting drug and drug administration codes.

When billing medications and related services:

• An NDC (National Drug Code) is required only on the drug (HCPCS or CPT) code.
• Do not report an NDC on the administration code.
• Do not add an NDC to both the drug code and the administration code

Why this matters

Submitting NDCs incorrectly may result in:

• Claim processing delays
• Claim denials
• Need for resubmission or corrected claims

Following these guidelines helps ensure accurate reimbursement and timely adjudication.
