Access to care for PCPs and SCPs
Access to primary care providers (PCPs) and specialty care providers (SCPs) is essential to making sure members receive timely, high-quality care. Geisinger Health Plan (GHP) is committed to continuously improving the availability, accessibility and timeliness of care across the continuum of services.
To assess access to care, we gather and analyze data from a variety of internal and external sources. These assessments include results from the annual member experience survey as well as access standards and guidance established by the National Committee for Quality Assurance.
Beyond expanding our provider network to address identified gaps, GHP supports innovative care delivery models, including virtual visits, to improve access for our members. Be sure to share your feedback and suggestions on other ways we can further enhance access to care for your practice and patients.
Our thanks to you, our PCPs and SCPs, for your ongoing partnership, commitment and dedication to delivering timely, high-quality care to our members.
