Volunteers: An integral part to the Fresh Food Farmacy

Our program's success can be attributed to the many tasks volunteers perform. Volunteers are needed during operating hours, which are Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Tasks volunteers can assist with include:

• Greeting staff and patients as they enter the Farmacy
• Answering phone calls and directing traffic through the Farmacy
• Engaging with our patients to provide a positive and motivating experience
• Unloading deliveries received by the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank
• Receiving food orders and packing patient grocery bags
• Stocking and sorting shelves
• Lifting requirement is approximately 40 pounds
