Many people could benefit from having a Fresh Food Farmacy in their neighborhood, so we’ve created relationships that have allowed us to expand the program:

Jersey Shore

Before partnering with Geisinger, The New Love Center in Jersey Shore, Pa., helped serve over 4,700 households in Clinton and Lycoming counties through emergency food distributions, military and elder share programs, and pediatric programming such as the PB&J Program and backpack programs.

This partnership allows us to bring the Fresh Food Farmacy program to the people who live in or near Jersey Shore. In this new model, The New Love Center manages the operations and distribution of free, healthy foods within the Fresh Food Farmacy nutritional parameters. And Geisinger provides certified health coaching and connections to care management help.

This Fresh Food Farmacy satellite is located at 263 Henry St. in Jersey Shore, and serves qualifying people with diabetes. We’re accepting referrals via our electronic medical record system and/or by contacting us here.
