At Geisinger Pharmacy locations, vaccination is available to anyone age 12 or older. For the most up-to-date information on who should get vaccinated and when, visit the CDC’s website.

Before receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, you should meet the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) criteria for having recovered from COVID-19, meaning that you have been symptom-free for a safe period of time.

Vaccine safety

Pain at the injection site, headache, muscle aches, low-grade fever, fatigue, chills and nausea are common and possible side effects. These side effects are an indication that your body is reacting properly to the vaccine and typically resolve within 24 to 48 hours.
