Validating provider profile information
As part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act and in an attempt to improve the accuracy of provider directory information, group health plans and health insurance issuers offering group and/or individual health insurance coverage are required to validate information included in provider directories at least every 90-days. The intent of this rule is to ensure health plan members and patients make the most informed choices when it comes to their health care needs. To comply with this portion of the Act, to ensure our members have access to the most accurate information possible and to make the process as efficient as possible, Geisinger Health Plan has partnered with Kyruus Health to assist in the collection of this information.
In the coming weeks, you’ll receive an email with a link to Kyruus’ secure portal. There, you can complete a short questionnaire that will satisfy the validation requirement. Completing the form typically takes less than two minutes.
Watch for an email from Kyruus Health with the subject line “CMS Mandate: Update and Verify Provider Profile Information.” It will include a link to the validated provider profile portal. If you don’t see the email, check your spam folder.
