Geisinger Health Plan has partnered with Kyruus Health to collect information needed to comply with the Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA) of 2021 and improve the accuracy of provider directory information. 

The act requires Geisinger Health Plan to validate information included in provider directories every 90 days. This rule is meant to help members and patients make well-informed choices about their healthcare needs and give them access to the most accurate information possible.

Validation process

Kyruus has begun validating provider information. In fact, you (or a contact at your organization) may have already received an email with a unique link to Kyruus’ secure portal. Use the link to complete a short questionnaire that will satisfy the validation requirement. Completing the form typically takes less than 2 minutes.   

If you haven’t received it, watch for an email from Kyruus Health with the subject line “CMS Mandate: Update and Verify Provider Profile Information.” Be sure to check your spam folder if you don’t see it soon.   

Providers who don’t respond to Kyruus or follow this validation process may be removed from our directory.

FAQs

What if I’m a telehealth provider and don’t have a street address?
Fill in your billing address and then select the option that says “Telehealth” and “Remote Only.”  If you check “Remote Only,” your address will not appear in the directory.  A help question mark next to this box verifies that information.

What if others in my practice have received an email or call and I haven’t?
Someone in your practice may be the contact person to validate data on your behalf. Check with your office staff to see if they received anything for you.    

Can I proactively validate my data without waiting for a call/email?
Yes, you can reach out to Kyruus directly to validate your data prior to receiving outreach from them. You’ll need your email address and the last 5 digits of your billing tax ID for your provider group. You may request a webform or callback. Call Kyruus at 844-782-2571 or email them at

I received a form link but I’m having technical issues once I open it.  Who can help?

Do I need to individually attest to each provider in our group?
Larger groups with multiple providers may download the roster template to fill in and send back to Kyruus directly. Email the completed template to kyruus-provider-support@novillus.com.

How do I add or remove providers from the Kyruus spreadsheet?
To add or remove providers, use the add/change form.

We are a large hospital — do I have to validate my non-credentialed providers, too?
No, but you must send full rosters with non-credentialed providers to the health plan directly for review so we can keep medical staff up to date.
