GHP provider portal transition to Availity Essentials
Over the last several months, Geisinger Health Plan (GHP) has migrated provider portal functions and resources from NaviNet to Availity Essentials — a robust, multi-payer platform designed to streamline administrative tasks and improve efficiency. Now, our transition to Availity Essentials is almost complete.
Starting January 1, 2026, GHP provider portal functions will be available exclusively through Availity Essentials. NaviNet will no longer host GHP functions or resources after December 31, 2025.
What this means for you
Current NaviNet functionalities are, or will soon be available in Availity Essentials, such as:
- Claims status and inquiry
- Claims research request form (CRRF)*
- Member eligibility and benefits
- PCP panel inquiry*
- AMP tool
- HEDIS quality dashboard
- Links to provider resources
Along with new features:
- Electronic claims submission
- Attachments for keyed-in claims
Unfortunately, the secure messaging feature in NaviNet will not be immediately available in Availity Essentials. But more enhancements are coming soon to make managing GHP members and claims even easier.

Action required
To continue accessing GHP functions, your organization must be registered with Availity Essentials. Designate an Availity Essentials administrator — someone with legal authority to sign agreements on behalf of your organization — to complete registration and manage user accounts.
