Geisinger offers the use of a limited number of Geisinger iPads as an optional feature to provide you with educational content and entertainment during your hospital stay. By using the iPad, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
- You agree that the iPad and any mobile applications on the device are not a substitute for medical advice and you will contact your provider with any questions.
- The iPad is and remains the property of Geisinger and should not be removed from the premises. You will return the iPad upon or before your discharge from the hospital.
- You will keep the iPad in the provided case.
- You are responsible for returning the iPad to Geisinger in the condition you received it, along with any and all accessories provided to you.
- If the iPad is damaged, lost or stolen, you will be required to immediately report such incident to Geisinger at 570-271-8092.
- In using the iPad and any mobile applications on the device, you will likely have the option of entering your personal information. Any personally identifiable information that you submit may be stored within the application so it can be used to display specific content. However, this is considered your personal information and Geisinger does not identify the individual or use it in any individual context. It may be used in a non-identifiable manner to understand how to make updates or enhancements to the mobile application.
- You may stop using the iPad and any mobile application on the device at any time with no impact to other services or applications you receive.
- During your stay, you may have access to iPad features that allow you to enter your specific data, such as contacts, apps and web browser bookmarks. When you are discharged, you agree to no longer use any Apple IDs or other content provided by Geisinger. Geisinger is not responsible for any time or expenses you incur as a result of your use of any iPad features.
- Geisinger is not responsible for any illegal activity that you conduct on the iPad.
- The use of the Geisinger iPad and any mobile application on the device is a “related service” to geisinger.org, and you accept the overall terms and conditions found here.
