Innovative approaches to neurological care
When you or your loved one have a brain or nervous system problem, it can be a challenge to get to a medical office. With a unique approach to neurological treatment, Geisinger speeds access to care and reduces delays.
Step 1 – Referral
Your first step is to get a referral from a provider, usually your primary care doctor or current specialist.
Step 2 – Schedule a telehealth visit
With the referral in place, new neurology patients will be contacted to schedule a telehealth visit in MyGeisinger/MyChart.
During that visit, a licensed Geisinger neurologist:
- Reviews your symptoms
- Performs a focused exam by video
- Orders any tests or prescriptions you need
Follow-up care may be in person or virtual based on your needs.
Care in an emergency
