Some service lines may experience misalignment between recruitment efforts and demand projections, and no standard procedure exists for approvals during urgent recruitment times. The main objective of this project was to identify departmental needs and develop decision support tools that would align recruitment strategies with growth forecasts. This will allow provider procurement at optimal periods and levels, validating the incremental recruiting expenses with market-based needs and making the recruitment process more efficient and effective. Leadership and service lines used these findings to make data-driven decisions about physician staffing requirements for each subspecialty and geographical allocations for physicians.
