Welcome to West Campus (Lewistown and State College)

Where you’ll learn

Geisinger Lewistown Hospital. The hospital has been part of the Lewistown community for more than 100 years — delivering high-quality, coordinated, patient-centered care for residents of Mifflin County and beyond. Here, you’ll learn and work in a hospital with nationally recognized, award-winning specialty areas. The modern facilities include a maternity center, a behavioral health unit, a surgical center with robotic surgery options, women’s health services, a wound healing institute and a primary stroke center.

The campus has grown over the decades, and now includes the Geisinger School of Nursing, outpatient and specialty care services.

Geisinger Healthplex State College. The largest multispecialty clinic in the Geisinger system houses everything from primary care to specialty services to an outpatient surgical and endoscopy center. It also includes support services like lab, radiology and pharmacy right on site.

Where you’ll live

The central PA region is home to The Pennsylvania State University. As you travel through the region, you’ll find covered bridges and quaint Victorian towns, along with Amish and Mennonite populations.

Located along the Juniata River, Lewistown is home to many historic structures including its courthouse, Embassy Theatre, McCoy House and the Stone Arch Bridge.

The natural setting is great for outdoor activities like canoeing, kayaking, fishing, hunting, hiking, biking and hiking.
