The Center for Student Affairs and Engagement supports and helps you develop your professional goals through an individualized career coaching model to enhance your interpersonal communication and networking skills.

Through this career coaching model, you’ll have the knowledge, support and resources necessary to make informed decisions. Len Farber, MA, director of student affairs for the School of Graduate Education, is the career coach. His extensive professional coaching will help you with professional and career self-reflection, goal-setting and lifelong learning.

The Center for Student Affairs and Engagement career coaching model uses the following critical benchmarks to support you in your career-planning process:

  • Provide resources to effectively coach you in the enhancement of your interpersonal communication skills through the development of a competitive curriculum vitae, personal statement, professional and medical school applications and participation in mock interviews
  • Support you in the development of a self-directed career and resource identification plan to make informed and proactive decisions critical to achieving your professional and career goals
  • Participation in a variety of experiences to enhance communication, service, leadership and problem-solving skills, as well as cultural competencies
