Called a ride share but something seems sketchy? If it doesn’t feel right, don’t do it. Carry good identification. And keep IDs in more than one place.
Radiate confidence.
Walk with purpose. Appearing lost or confused can make you vulnerable. If you’re lost, enter a shop or restaurant and ask for help there.
Stick to open and public places, especially at night.
Last but not least, your phone is your best friend when traveling.
Keep it charged — and if you’re venturing abroad, make sure your plan will work overseas. If your GPS won’t operate in, say, Paris, you’ll want to pick up a good map.
