MT. POCONO, PA -- Christopher Giddings Connolly, M.D., recently joined Geisinger Mt. Pocono, 126 Market Way, Mt. Pocono, to serve in a dual role as both a family medicine and sleep medicine physician. As a family medicine doctor, Dr. Giddings Connolly is trained to care for patients of all ages with a focus on preventive care and wellness, routine physicals, chronic disease management and acute illnesses. As a fellowship-trained sleep medicine specialist, he treats patients with sleep disturbances such as sleep apnea, insomnia or restless leg syndrome.
Additionally, Dr. Giddings Connolly holds special interests in behavioral medicine, rapid eye movement sleep behavior disorder and narcolepsy.
Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Giddings Connolly earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College, Albany, N.Y., in 2011. He completed a residency in family medicine with Stony Brook University Medical Center, Stony Brook, N.Y. in 2014. Dr. Giddings Connolly also completed a fellowship in sleep medicine with Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon, N.H., in 2015.
Dr. Giddings Connolly is a member of American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
