Geisinger becomes the first member of Risant Health

DANVILLE, Pa. – Geisinger recently welcomed a new urologist and new urologic oncologist to its urology clinic in Geisinger Medical Center, 100 N. Academy Ave., Danville.

Jerald B. Gilbert, M.D., board-certified urologist, will provide care for adult patients for the following conditions: benign prostatic hyperplasia; constipation; erectile dysfunction and male infertility; kidney and urinary tract stones; Peyronie’s disease; prostate, bladder, kidney and testicular cancers and incontinence. 

Dr. Gilbert earned his medical degree from the UCLA School of Medicine, Los Angeles. He then completed a surgery residency and urology residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.

Additionally, Matthew Meissner, M.D., fellowship-trained urology cancer specialist, joined the urology team, treating kidney, bladder and prostate cancer. He has expertise in minimally invasive surgery techniques. Dr. Meissner earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio. He completed his residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, and his urologic cancer fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
