Geisinger becomes the first member of Risant Health

DALLAS, Pa. – Beginning Jan. 13, 2020, Dallas Family Practice joins the Geisinger primary care network.

The practice is now Geisinger Primary Care Dallas and continues to accept most major insurance plans. Jane Durkin, D.O., and Richard Oley, D.O., have been practicing in Dallas for decades, and they’re bringing their expertise in all areas of family medicine and offering high-quality care for patients in Luzerne County.

“The addition of Drs. Durkin and Oley and their care team marks a significant benefit for community members looking for health care services closer to home,” said Suzy Kobylinski, M.D., chair of Geisinger community medicine. “The addition of Dallas Family Practice to our expanding network helps make health care easier for our neighbors in the community.”

Most staff members of the practice, located at 16 Church St. in Dallas, are now Geisinger employees. Planned upgrades to the facility include installing the Epic electronic health record, which will connect the practice to all other Geisinger facilities.

Letters have gone out to the practice’s existing patients to inform them of the news. Anyone with questions or who would like to schedule an appointment can call 570-675-2111.
