Geisinger opening career center in downtown Danville
Geisinger Career Center welcomes walk-in applicants and offers professional development for employees
DANVILLE, Pa. – As one of the largest employers in the region, Geisinger is set to expand its career services reach to downtown Danville, opening its first community-based career center in February 2020.
The Geisinger Career Center, located at 529 Mill St., will offer convenient hours so candidates can stop in to search open positions, and current Geisinger employees can explore career development opportunities.
The Career Center will offer the following services:
- Free Wi-Fi and computers to search for open positions within Geisinger
- Guidance on developing a resume and writing cover letters
- Coaching to prepare for virtual and in-person interviews
“It takes a dedicated team of people to care for our friends and neighbors throughout the region,” said Amy Brayford, executive vice president, chief human resource officer and chief of staff. “From roles in environmental services, information technology and finance to clinical staff like our physicians and nursing, we’re always looking to add great talent to the Geisinger family. The Geisinger Career Center offers a flexible, supportive space for employees and community members to explore career opportunities within Geisinger, maximize their strengths and grow their careers.”
Along with searching for open positions, the walk-in center will offer current Geisinger employees information and resources for professional development and networking.
Employees can learn about:

- Networking opportunities
- Employee Resource Group events
- Quick access to HR tools and policies
- Information on programs and benefits such as tuition reimbursement
The career center is expected to open in February. Hours will be announced closer to opening, and extended hours are planned.
