Geisinger recognizing 31 women over 31 days of March
Geisinger celebrates their leadership, strength, vision and compassion throughout Women’s History Month
Each woman exemplifies the same spirit of compassion, vision, leadership and strength shown by Abigail Geisinger, who founded Geisinger more than 100 years ago to support the Pennsylvania community she so loved.
For each day in March — Women’s History Month — we’re celebrating the passion, influence, dedication and achievements of women who are following in Abigail’s trailblazing footsteps, no matter their role, title or position.
Women’s History Month is a national tradition that acknowledges the vital role of women throughout U.S. history. It seems like the perfect time to profile the exemplary Geisinger women who have been nominated by their peers across Geisinger’s social media channels, employee-focused communication avenues, on digital monitors across the health system, and on geisinger.org/31.
Geisinger has kicked off the series by recognizing Lynn Miller, MBA, who is executive vice president of clinical operations and is responsible for the operations of Geisinger’s $2.7 billion clinical enterprise. Her leadership reaches beyond her position — she cares deeply about doing the right thing, spends an outstanding amount of time mentoring others, gives of herself for the advancement of community organizations, and is inclusive in her decision-making, welcoming and respecting differing opinions and ideas.
“Please join us in congratulating these women for their leadership, and in thanking all women in the Geisinger family for what they do each day to make health easier for our patients, members, family and communities,” said Jaewon Ryu, M.D., J.D., Geisinger’s president and CEO.
