Pottsville area native to lead reconstructive and cosmetic care team in Orwigsburg

ORWIGSBURG, Pa. – Christopher Sanders, M.D., a board-certified plastic surgeon and Pottsville area native, is now seeing patients in Schuylkill County as part of Geisinger’s new clinic bringing plastic surgery, reconstructive and cosmetic services closer to patients in the region.

Dr. Sanders will be part of the care team at Geisinger’s recently opened plastic and reconstructive surgery clinic at the Geisinger St. Luke’s Medical Office Building in Orwigsburg. Dr. Sanders is joined at the clinic by Yardley Phillips, PA-C.

Located on the campus of Geisinger St. Luke’s Hospital at 1165 Centre Turnpike, the care team will offer both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery consultations and in-office procedures. Reconstruction services include treatment for patients impacted by cancer or trauma, including breast reconstruction, face and body reconstruction, and skin removal after weight loss. Dr. Sanders also offers cosmetic procedures, like breast augmentation and tummy tucks.

Dr. Sanders, who grew up in Pottsville area, is returning to Schuylkill County to serve those in and around his hometown.

“It is a wonderful opportunity to come back home and care for the people of Schuylkill County, so they don’t have to travel for plastic surgery services, whether reconstructive or cosmetic,” said Dr. Sanders. “I’m excited to return to the area and look forward to caring for the people of my community.”
