Geisinger becomes the first member of Risant Health

POTTSVILLE, Pa. – Effective Jan. 3, Joseph Puzzi, M.D., and his otolaryngology practice will join Geisinger. The practice — renamed Geisinger Ear, Nose and Throat Pottsville — will remain at 100 Schuylkill Plaza, Suite 205, and will continue to accept most major insurance plans.

“Dr. Puzzi and his team have an excellent reputation in the community,” said Dr. Kenneth Altman, department chair of otolaryngology at Geisinger. “As we continue to look for ways to expand our services, this enables us to provide care to those in the Pottsville area and beyond.”

Board certified in otolaryngology, Dr. Puzzi has more than 28 years of experience. He received his medical degree from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and completed his internship and residency in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery from Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

“My team is excited to become a part of Geisinger and support their mission of making better health easier,” said Dr. Puzzi. “This is a great opportunity for us to better serve our patients, aligning with a nationally renowned health care organization with a similar reputation for caring, excellence and quality.”

Dr. Puzzi’s patients have been informed of the change. Anyone with questions or who would like to schedule an appointment can call 570-621-5010.
