Robert E. Poole
Robert E. Poole was appointed to the Geisinger Health Board of Directors in December 2005 and serves on the Finance and Governance Committees of the board.
He is president and CEO of S&A Homes Inc., one of the top 100 builders of single- and multi-family residential homes in the country, and CEO of Poole Anderson Construction, a commercial construction company with services ranging from general contracting to design build to construction management. Mr. Poole is also CEO of Space Mart Development Company LP, a developer of self-storage facilities in major markets in the mid-Atlantic region. His business activities also include land development and various types of investment properties.
Active in business and community affairs in Pennsylvania, Mr. Poole is a local advisory board member of BB&T Company. Past activities have included service on the boards of several public companies including Aqua Penn, United Federal Bank, Waypoint Bank, Tower Bank and Susquehanna Bank. Local and regional institutions have also benefited from Mr. Poole’s guidance on various boards including the Pennsylvania State University’s Smeal College of Business; the Schreyer Honors College, of which he is chair; and the Executive Committee Advisory Council on Philanthropy.
Mr. Poole resides in State College, Pa., with his wife Sandy.
