Geisinger Gold ranked for quality care and performance
2016-2017 quality ratings released
DANVILLE, PA – The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) rated Geisinger Health Plan’s (GHP) Geisinger Gold HMO among the best for quality and performance.
Geisinger Gold’s HMO received 4.5 out of 5 stars, rating among the top Medicare health plans for quality and performance by CMS’s annual star ratings.
The CMS Medicare program rates all health and prescription drug plans each year based on a plan’s quality and performance. Scores reflect how members rate a plan’s services and care; how well doctors detect illness and keep members healthy; and how well plans help members use recommended and safe prescription medications.
