Geisinger Health Plan named among "Best Places to Work" in region

Wilkes-Barre, PA – The Times Leader named Geisinger Health Plan (GHP) as one of the “Best Places to Work” in Northeastern Pennsylvania.

The newspaper honored about 55 businesses and organizations in the region during an award banquet Dec. 12 at The Woodlands Inn, Wilkes-Barre. The event was sponsored by the Times Leader Media Group. Times Leader readers voted on the “Best Places to Work” and each winner received a plaque at the banquet.

Geisinger Health Plan, begun in 1985, is also headquartered in Danville and serves about 582,000 members in Pennsylvania. GHP currently has about 1,500 employees.
