Fall 2018 Service Excellence Awards: Kristen Ziller
Geisinger Health Plan recently held its Service Excellence Awards ceremony to recognize employees who consistently demonstrate a commitment to excellence in service and quality, a positive attitude, teamwork and dedication to GHP’s initiatives.
Steve Youso, GHP president and chief executive officer, presented the biannual awards during a ceremony on Jan. 24 at GHP’s Hughes Center North building, Danville. There were three individual award winners and a team award. Each of their stories will be posted separately.
Kristen Ziller, health and wellness associate, was nominated by Michelle Passaretti, senior director of health innovations.
Michelle said Kristen reaches out to 200 Geisinger Family members per day to ensure that they are referred to local food pantries, soup kitchens and other resources.
“She also creates a seamless experience for all involved and has done so without judgment or haste,” Michelle said. “She listens, puts patients first and builds an emotional connection with them while offering a thoughtful, respectful and immediate resolution. She is also innovative and always looking for ways to further expand her outreach. Kristen is one of a kind.”
