Geisinger Health Plan announces partnership with PerformRx
Pharmacy benefit manager will enhance pharmacy experience for GHP members
DANVILLE, Pa. – Geisinger Health Plan (GHP) announced today a new, multi-year agreement with PerformRx, a Philadelphia-based pharmacy benefit manager, to support better health outcomes, improve pharmacy experiences and lower costs for GHP members.
Effective Jan. 1, 2021, PerformRx will provide GHP with pharmacy benefit management (PBM) services designed to improve member access to quality, affordable prescription medications and lower overall healthcare costs.

Together with PerformRx, Geisinger can continue to improve the health of our members by ensuring access to the medications they need while helping them save money.”

GHP will continue to manage the formulary, or list of covered drugs, provide utilization management services, and handle customer service responsibilities. GHP will work closely with its current PBM, MedImpact, through 2020 to ensure a successful and seamless transition.
