At Geisinger Health Plan, we know there’s no such thing as one-size-fits-all when it comes to healthcare coverage. That’s why we offer plans to fit every need and every budget.
The right plan for your employees
We offer a variety of plans to meet your needs for cost and coverage.
Geisinger Extra
- Employees seeking low copays can choose a primary care site designated as a Geisinger Extra site.
- Some Extra sites are also ProvenHealth Navigator® locations, which provide extra care because a nurse works closely with physicians and office staff to better manage a member's healthcare needs.
- These plans are only available in certain counties of our service area.

Self-Funded
- If you’re looking for self-funding options for your small business, we offer a host of services, including a broad provider network with substantial discounts and outstanding customer service.
QHDHP (Qualified High Deductible Health Plan)
- A QHDHP plan has lower premiums and higher deductibles than a traditional insurance plan.
- Required for a health savings account (HSA).
HSA (Health Savings Account)
- An HSA helps individuals covered under high-deductible health plans (HDHPs) save for medical expenses that QHDHPs don’t cover.
- Contributions are not subject to federal tax at the time of deposit.
HRA (Health Reimbursement Account)
- An HRA is an employer-funded plan that reimburses employees and their eligible family members for medical expenses not covered by the employer’s standard insurance plan.
