Teladoc MyStrength – mental health support

MyStrength is a digital tool in the Teladoc mobile app that supports your mental health. It offers access to resources based on your needs — including screenings, information on mental health conditions like anxiety and depression, and tools to help you manage stress and other life challenges like grief and aging.

You can also get support through text messages and one-on-one video coaching sessions. And if needed, you can schedule virtual appointments with licensed mental health professionals.

MyStrength is available to Geisinger Health Plan Commercial and Gold members, their spouses and any dependents who are 13 and older. Members can access MyStrength by downloading the Teladoc app or visiting the Teladoc website
Meal planner and recipe bank

If you’d like to lose or maintain your weight, take advantage of our free daily meal plan options. When you become a member, you can select your calorie range and choose a tailored daily food plan. Meal plan options include diabetes-friendly, gluten-free, heart-healthy, vegan and vegetarian.

You can also find your personalized nutritional needs, based on your current weight and daily activity level, to learn how many calories you should consume to maintain or lose weight, as well as the healthy amount of recommended daily vitamins and minerals.

Certified health coaches

Members can partner and work one on one with a health and wellness coach to achieve long-lasting, positive health changes.

Whether you’ve decided to embark on a weight-loss journey, start eating healthier, quit smoking or need some extra support in managing a chronic condition, a health and wellness coach can help. Wellness services are offered in person and by phone.

Diabetes Prevention Program

Through our Diabetes Prevention Program (DPP), those at risk for developing Type 2 diabetes learn about healthy eating and how to increase physical activity. By losing weight, managing stress with relaxation techniques and learning coping skills to make healthy lifestyle changes, you can lower your glucose and A1c levels.

The DPP is an evidence-based program developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). It includes 16 one-hour sessions in an interactive group setting for the first six months. If you join, you’ll also receive continued support during the maintenance phase, which consists of monthly sessions for six more months.

Freedom From Smoking

Freedom From Smoking® is an eight-session, interactive program developed by the American Lung Association. This program provides skills and support to help tobacco users conquer their addiction.

If you join this program, you’ll learn about lifestyle changes to make quitting easier, plus coping strategies for managing stress and avoiding weight gain.

Live your best life

Managing chronic illnesses is an important step to take when maintaining your health. Our “Live Your Best Life” program can help you learn how to improve your quality of life while living with a chronic or long-term condition. You can also bring family members, spouses, friends or caregivers.

This evidence-based program, originally developed by Stanford University and held worldwide, will teach you healthy eating habits, exercise tips, relaxation techniques and how to set goals for improving your chronic condition.

We also offer a “Live Your Best Life with Diabetes” program that includes all the teachings of the “Live Your Best Life” program. It also offers information on lifestyle changes to lower glucose and A1c, how to monitor blood sugar and medication education, as well as skin and foot care.
